Make baskets at Under Spring

October 12, 2007

I had a great time at Under Spring the first time I stumbled upon it.  It’s an unusual public space underneath a bridge in downtown L.A, a former hangout of drug users.  And now Farmlab is hosting a basket-making workship there to celebrate Native American heritage month.  I find this a very odd yet intriguing pairing: baskets and urban bridges.  Stop by, breathe in smog, learn about the Tongva people, and weave something - it’s free!
