Bird walk and documentaries at the Audubon Center at Debs Park in Highland Park. Yah, I know this doesn’t sound too crazy, but I betcha it would make a nice date outing. 7 pm walk; 8 pm outdoor film.

Eagle Rock Music Festival featuring 40 bands in Eagle Rock. Cambodian American Band Dengue Fever is one of the headliners, and haz-mat suit-wearing, percussion ensemble GLANK will be performing. I enjoyed them at the Farmlab event I posted about a few weekends ago. They’re quite a spectacle. The night’s line-up also includes puppetry. 5pm till midnight.
Rockin’ the Pines Music Festival and Market night in Wrightwood, about a one hour drive from L.A. up in the San Gabriel mountains.
