I finally got one. OMG, are they supposed to smash your veins and try to rub the living %&@@! out of them? The little woman who worked on me snickered in Chinese when I told her that she was massaging too hard. She was so powerful. My feet and legs are tingling right now and feel raw. I will not know until tomorrow if this was a good thing or not. Ow.

I’ve been getting way too many foot massage on my trip (it’s $6 or less, I can’t help it!)…and they definitely don’t leave me feeling like that…more like I’m walking on a cloud for the next 10 hours. I have yet to have a Chinese foot massage, though…they may be different???

Thanks Jayna. I think the primary technique the woman was using was acupressure, so it was a lot of jabbing and smashing. When she dug her elbow into my my shoulder blade, I said “no more!” I really hate the whole elbow thing.

yes! I love these massages in SGV! That’s awesome that you got one! Like Jayna, I walk on clouds for hours. They become quite addicting after a few. Luckily, they’re it’s only $15/hr. Which store did ya go to? I usually go to the one in Life Plaza.

Hi Henry. Welcome to UnHipLA! I went to Room 207 in the Prospect Plaza above Beard Papa. It got good reviews on Yelp. I think the masseuse was trying to de-vein me. I’m going to try again though. Thx for your rec!

Thanks Henry. I see you have quite an eating portfolio on Biggest Menu. I’ve never heard of that site; it looks like fun.
Foodies are such an interesting group of people.
