I know fires are not allowed. The beaches are open 24 hours a day, so theoretically I guess you could fall asleep on the beach, but I don't think camping with tents and what not is allowed. The accessway gates to the beaches get locked at night but if you're already on the beach, you can exit at anytime. You won't get locked in with the multi-million dollar beach houses. I think the California Coastal Commission website would have the info that you need. Enjoy your beach! I don’t know about camping. I know fires are not allowed.
