Joan Jett in Alhambra
ALHAMBRA JUBILEE - Saturday, July 29, 2007
Who knew Alhambra puts on such a big show? It was quite the mob scene for Joan Jett, stadium seating and all at the Alhambra Jubilee. I saw security and cops quickly move in on two potential brawls, leading people out in handfcuffs. Joan Jett gave a sweet, punk, pop performance. She’s 49 but sings with the idealism of someone much younger. With a new album out now called "Sinner," Joan Jett lead the crowd in sing-a-longs that would do a pre-school teacher proud.
TIP: If you go next week for KC and the Sunshine Band, get there early for seats. Joan Jett started at 8:30 pm and the stadium seating was closed by then.

I love rock n roll, put another dime in the jukebox . . .

I love that she’s still playing and touring…so cool that now getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop being unique and creative.
