Really Really Hot Day
Here are images from Pasadena’s first Really Really Free Market, held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Bresee Nazarene Church at 1480 E. Washington Blvd, 9 am to 1 pm. I unfortunately got there really really late. The organizer said that they moved a lot of stuff today, more than what was left when I got there. As soon as I dragged out my stuff, people descended upon me, taking my old Levi’s and my Fight Club novel. They were like human vultures, but it was cool. I walked away with a bunch of books: Synonym Finder, Webster’s dictionary, APA Style Guide, and Birds of America. Also a bunch of beads. Someone dropped off crates and crates of beads. It was crazy. I wonder if people were offering services earlier; I would have liked to write stuff for people. Maybe next time.
Bunnies…free
Beads…free

Strange devices…free
91 degree HEAT…free

The Really Really Free Market….Priceless.
I hope these things grow and grow. I’d love to live in a place
where people just wanted to help each other.
*** UPDATE ***
The next RRFM will be Saturday, July 14, 8am - 1pm, same place. This time they said there will be an indoors rest area.

The bunnies are cute, but wow, the one in front has some freaky big eyes. And I’ve never seen so many beads in one place.

I know what you mean about the eyes. It’s wearing eye liner.

That’s awesome! I would’ve loved to go to it!

It was soooo hot! I was there earlier with lots of wind-up throbbing heart toys, and scored some good books, too. Getting rid of stuff felt great. I can’t wait for next time. We’re already starting another box of stuff to shed. I wish there were more shade, though!

I hope the next one will be indoors!

The Fight Club movie is much better than the book. The book was pretty poorly written; I couldn’t finish it.
