Discovery of the Day - Bella Vita Deli & Market (Pasadena)
After playing tennis this morning with my new Meetup pal, I came across this little gem:

Opened in June 2006, it’s a gourmet deli and market with an on old fashioned yet European feel. So would that make it Old World? Anyhow, they have a few tables indoors and outdoors, and I can see this as a nice spot to have lunch or perhaps even have a writerly all-day hang out. I liked how the candy was displayed in little bushel baskets. They have sandwiches and salads, $6 - $8 range, and imported foods. I took home some dry salami and gouda cheese. Good stuff.
Nice! I miss old style delis. This place sounds great for a Saturday afternoon.
